Happy Thursday!

Go over and subscribe to my new page at http://www.nettafied.com

It is 6:53am on Thursday morning and it is now 54 degrees, when yesterday was 72. Too much of this kind of weather can drive anyone crazy. I love cold weather because it gives me the okay to throw some thick leggings on with boots under a pea coat and scarf and still look somewhat fashionable. I just wish our cold weather were more consistent.

This week I am thankful for the warm weather we have had lately. The weather in NC is far from normal. It can go from 40 degrees one day to 72 the next. This week we actually had two beautiful, sunny days! Yes, I am very excited about that lol. I am over winter at the moment and can not wait for the first day of spring. I have it marked on my calendar, although around these parts it doesn’t exactly mean that the weather will be warm, still I am hoping for the best.

This spring, I am looking forward to quite a few things:

  1. Gardening, I am obsessed with trying to not only master planting, but growing my own vegetables. So there will be a lot of YouTube watching in the near future.
  2. My usual park runs! I love my treadmill, but I really don’t use it the way I should. The reason, I need fresh air! My treadmill is crammed in a corner of a guest bedroom with the view of a wall. It only does the job for so long. The park in the spring is great, it’s not too hot, the air is crisp in the morning and it provides me with scenery that isn’t a wall. There are two seasons I love the most and that is fall and spring. You get the best weather in both. Not too hot or cold, the leaves changing colors in the fall are beautiful, the sun shining just right in the spring is the perfect warmth. Yup I am reminiscing. It is definitely time for spring.
  3. Last but not least, my baby pie’s birthday! On May 4 my son will be 1 years old. It is so hard to believe my little 7 pound baby will be turning one in two months. He is growing so fast, I was warned to be ready for the day I turned around and he is a toddler. My heart sank just a little yesterday as I was leaving a store and the sales clerk asked how old Ty is. I accidentally said 9 months and had to correct myself. “10 months, he is 10 months today.” My little baby pie is growing up and somehow I wish I could slow him down just a little.

What are you all thankful for this Thursday? Leave it below if you would like to share.

Have a happy Thursday and Stay Inspired!

Accessory Rack

Hey Hey!

I hope you all enjoyed the fall series! I know I did! I will actually miss the fall series, but I always have next year. Ok moving forward. I know I am not the only woman who have so many accessories I have ultimately ran out of room.  Ergo accessory rack. I purchased the hardware (knobs $2.30 each and third piece for $3.89). I did not have to buy anything else. I already owned the finished wood (which is only between about 3 to 5 dollars at Home Depot or Lowes), paint, paint brush, drill and drill bits (thanks to husby). Besides the finished wood and hardware most of the items you may already have at home. It was very simple and fun to make take a look!

Items needed:

  • Drill
  • Drill bits
  • screw driver
  • paint
  • paint brush
  • glue gun
  • decorations
  • finished wood
  • hardware

Latest Craze

latest-craze

Hey Hey guys!

I thought I would share a few of my latest obsessions with you.

If you have followed my blog. You know that the book Don’t sweat the small stuff has been on my current reading list for some time. I am loving this book at the very moment and all the positivity it portrays. I am taking my time in reading this book and jumping around as well. I am reading about how to be aware of what’s called the Snowball effect of thinking. It basically talks about how quickly we can let our negative thought spiral out of control. Very positive book. If you have time check it out.

If you know me, you know I am absolutely obsessed with shoes! My current shoe craze is Christian Louboutin Attroupa bootie. Yeah, it’s a mouth full. It’s also a pocketful of cash that is involved if you want to own these beauties. Around $1300 to be exact. Still, I’ve decided to keep them on my wish list in hopes one day I will be able to afford a pair.

OPI nail polish has become my best friend. I am not one for painting my fingernails, but I use them on my toenails. I have probably worn every color OPI has released so far. My favorite is the gold color above!

I love fall! Lately, I have had a sweater with lace craze. It’s comfy and cute. You can find them at Charlotte Russe and Forever 21.

Okay, so I have been on a baby craze since the day I met my handsome little man. I am hoping to make my own cloth diaper bag soon.

What’s on your current craze list?!

Revamped Sweater Part 2

Hey Hey!

I am back this week with a part 2 of my fall series. Yes, I decided to decorate another sweater. I purchased this sweater from Salvation Army for about 3 bucks. I did run into a little problem with this sweater, as I believe I was trying to do entirely too much. Nonetheless, I was able to save the poor sweater from my bad idea and I would say it came out pretty good. Take a look!

Items Used:

  • Fabric Glue
  • Glue gun
  • Embellishments
  • Zippers
  • Old Sweater

Part 2

I am not sure you all are loving the sweater part of the fall series, but hopefully you will like this weeks. If you are ready for something a little different then you will be happy to know next week I have just that in store for you.  I hope to see you all back here next week. Remember to do something inspiring this week. Love you guys! Stay Inspired!

Fall Series- Revamped Sweater

Happy Fall!

Today is officially the first day of Fall! Although here it will get as high as 70 degrees today. This week I kicked off my Fall Series. For the next month each week (including this week) I will be sharing all fall everything DIY projects. I started this week with revamped sweaters. Check out the DIY below and please come back next week to see part 2!

Items Needed:

  • An old sweater if you don’t have one Salvation Army is a good place to start. I got some sweaters for 2 dollars each.
  • Old Decorative Shirt
  • Heat and Bond Sold at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars
  • Scissors
  • Something to trace your shape (I used a heart)
  • Marker/Pen
  • Iron
  • Clear Nail Polish

DIY Fall Series Part 1

Let me know how you enjoyed the video. I do not own a sewing machine (yet . So heat and bond is my no-sew best friend these days. This DIY is perfect for those who do not know how to sew or do not have a needle and thread handy. This DIY was very inexpensive. I purchased the heat and bond for 8 dollars. If you do not have an old sweater you are willing to modify, visit your local thrift store or Salvation Army. How are you preparing for Fall?
