Quick-on-the-go Hair

Hey Hey!

Okay, so I know I have been a little off with my videos lately. Please forgive me as my schedule needed a little adjusting. I am definitely back though! videos will be up every Monday from now on. I promise 🙂 Lately I have needed a quick on-the-go hairstyle that I can throw together when I need to run out. I have been completely infatuated with the low puff styles I have seen lately. The only issue I find with my hair is that it is not full enough to give that full puff I want. So, I got to work on how I can give the illusion of a fuller puff. Check it out below! Quick note, check out my new home at http://www.nettafied.com!

Items Needed:

  • Brush
  • Comb
  • moisturizer
  • Oil

Hey Hey! I’ve eyed this cute low puff style I have seen lately. So I took to my bathroom mirror and got to it!

Start by parting your hair down the middle.

You can use ouch less bands, but I prefer the small rubber bands for my hair. I only wrap the bands around once for the braided sections (because they are bigger) and twice for the two middle sections (because they are smaller).

Pull one side out of the way to braid the other.

Moisturize and brush through the hair before braid. Comb if needed to detangle.

Make sure to split hair into either three  or four pony tails in the back.

Wrap with silk scarf either over night or for about 20 min before leaving. If you are doing this over night continue your braid all the way down on both sides and just undo the back in the morning.

Apply oil to help fluff the loose hair in the back. This reduces frizz and gives some of the moisture back to the hair after being wrapped.

Here I am just showing you how I spilt up my pony tails in the back. These are the left two pony tails (top) and the part splitting two on each side (bottom).Screen Shot 2015-02-16 at 1.28.33 AM

Here is how it should look after fluffing. My hair is more of a curly puff here, but you can wish or braid the loose hair at night to get a more defined curl

I really wanted a fuller puff in the back and found that this method has proved to be very effective. There is absolutely no pulling, no need to put in a tight ponytail. My edges were not being tugged on either. If you have a thin hair or your hair is just not as full as you would like it to be because of it's length give this a try!
